Gentleman Broncos Goes Viral

Jared Hess’ (of Napoleon Dynamite fame) upcoming film titled Gentleman Broncos has put up a website for the film’s antagonist — Dr. Ronald Chevalier. Apparently he plays a sci-fi writer of some renown who steals and idea from our hero — a Chevalier-worshipper. Anyway — the character is played by Jemaine Clement — from the HBO show Flight of the Conchords. Here’s the link to the site.

richon 12 Aug 2008 at 3:59 am 1I remember reading the logline when the project was announced and thinking it sounded like a fun premise.
It also sounds a lot like a Wes Anderson movie, which, of-late, isn’t necessarily a good thing. Personally, I still enjoy his work, but, even I’ll admit that it has become increasingly less accessible.
That said, this clip plays more overtly comedic than Anderson “dry,” which is a good sign and has definitely whet my appetite for more.
